For rising artist Baiitown, 2025 has already been a year of elevation—and he’s just getting started. With a bold signature sound and a relentless work ethic, Baiitown has officially stepped into the big leagues, solidifying a distribution deal with Roc Nation and setting the stage for a national breakthrough. His journey—from local buzz to boardroom meetings at Jay-Z’s empire—is the kind of story that defines what So FN Dope is all about.
When we caught up with Baiitown, the excitement was still fresh. Reflecting on his initial meeting at Roc Nation’s headquarters, he shared how it all unfolded with an authenticity that makes it clear he’s still soaking it all in.

“Man, I was definitely nervous, especially knowing the history and the culture of Roc Nation,” Baiitown admitted. “But they treated us with the best hospitality and was very respectful—so it was a dope experience.”
The pivotal moment came during a meeting with Rel Carter, Roc Nation’s distribution head and Jay-Z’s nephew. A name that already carries weight in the music industry, Carter listened to a few cuts from Baiitown’s welcome2baiitownEP—and was instantly intrigued.

“He listened to a few songs… and was impressed,” Baiitown said. “That led to him hearing the new single ‘Way You Go’—he thought the record was dope and could make some noise with the right promotion.”
That single, “Way You Go,” is now set for official release June 26 under Roc Nation Distribution, and the rollout is shaping up to be just as strategic as it is soulful. With airplay already lined up on several major platforms, Baiitown is about to have his biggest moment yet.
“It’s definitely a blessing, and I couldn’t be more thankful,” he said. “I just want [listeners] to have fun. Good music makes us forget about our problems for a moment.”
But Way You Go is more than just a catchy single—it’s a reflection of the artist’s growth.
“I felt like this record flowed through me, honestly,” Baiitown told us. “It’s an accumulation of the evolution of my music. And it’s only gonna keep getting better from here.”
And that evolution is happening in real-time. With Roc Nation now in his corner, Baiitown and his team are preparing to re-release welcome2baiitown—but this time, with the firepower and focus to make a much bigger impact.
“We are taking our time with this and I love that for the team,” he explained. “If everything comes together how we plan it to, we expect to really make a wave with this one.”
Still, even with the lights getting brighter and the platforms growing larger, Baiitown stays grounded—and credits his circle for keeping him level-headed.
“I can’t stress it enough, but my team, my team, my team—they keep me grounded,” he said. “Without them, I could see how it’d be easy to lose focus.”
As the industry begins to pay attention, Baiitown’s message is clear: this moment isn’t the finish line—it’s just the start. And with Roc Nation behind him, a loyal team beside him, and an undeniable record ready to drop, the world better get ready to say Welcome 2 Baiitown—because he’s officially arrived.
